Distress Centre Calgary (DCC) is a vital community resource providing compassionate, accessible crisis and navigation support to individuals in distress. For over 50 years, DCC has been committed to enhancing the health, well-being, and resiliency of individuals in Calgary and Southern Alberta.


Services include:

  • 24-Hour Crisis Support: Available by phone, text, and chat, offering immediate assistance for those in crisis.


  • Professional Counselling: Free counselling services for individuals, couples, and families dealing with complex issues.


  • Youth Peer Support: ConnecTeen provides peer support for youth aged 12–24 via phone, text, and chat.


  • 211 Information & Navigation: Access to a comprehensive network of community, social, health, and government services.


  • Coordinated Entry: Assistance in accessing housing and social services through coordinated entry systems.
